Food Concentration (Heat Recovery)

Drying is a critical step in the production of various foods, including instant meals, functional foods, and pet food. It plays a key role in extending shelf life, concentrating nutrients, reducing weight, and making products easier to store and transport. However, drying can also be energy-intensive and costly—ranging anywhere from $0.10 to $8.00 per kilogram, depending on the method and moisture reduction required. This makes it essential to adopt cost-effective and energy-efficient drying solutions.

At NTi, our membrane condenser system offers a smart alternative. It recycles heat from existing processes and efficiently reduces moisture content from 35% to 10%, providing an effective, low-cost drying solution for various industrial applications.

Laundry (Heat Recovery)

In humid climates like Singapore, drying clothes can be a challenge—especially during the wet season, when moisture in the air slows down evaporation. Most commercial dryers rely on heating elements to warm air and remove moisture, but this method can be energy-intensive and costly over time.

At NTi, we take a different approach. Our technology uses semi-permeable membranes to extract water without the need for high heat, resulting in significant energy savings. By leveraging membrane-based dehumidification, our system offers a low-energy, high-efficiency alternative to conventional drying.

Petrol Purification (Resource Recovery)

Petrol plays a vital role across numerous industries and continues to be a key driver of modern economies. However, as a non-renewable resource, it's essential that we maximize recovery and minimize waste through efficient extraction and purification processes. Traditional purification methods often rely on high temperatures and pressures, resulting in significant energy consumption and operational costs.

At NTi, we provide a low-energy alternative through our membrane separation technology. By leveraging the selective permeability of advanced membranes, we enable effective separation of valuable components from complex mixtures—without the need for intense heat or pressure. In one application, our system successfully recovered up to 95% of butanol from petrol-contaminated water, offering both environmental and economic benefits.
